About us

We only sell things we would send our own family

A small Bangkok operation buying direct from Thai growers and makers, packing everything by hand, and refusing to ship anything we would send back.

How this started

A box of bad durian, basically

Thailand grows some of the best fruit on the planet and then sells it to its own residents through a supply chain that treats it like gravel. We started because a ฿2,000 box of Monthong arrived warm, split, and already fermenting, and the seller’s answer was that fruit is fruit.
So we did the boring version instead. Buy direct from orchards we have actually walked. Grade on our own table. Pack cold, pack the same morning, ship only on days the parcel will not sit in a depot. It is not clever and it is not cheap, and it is the entire difference between fruit that is worth the money and fruit that is not.
The gifts came later, for the same reason. If somebody is going to hand your box to their mother, the box has to be good.
What we actually promise

Four standards, and what breaking them costs us

Anyone can write a quality promise. These are the ones that cost us money to keep, which is the only reason to believe them.

Direct sourcing

We buy from named growers, at their price, in person. No wholesale floor, no broker, no mystery pallet. It costs more per kilo and it is the only way to know what you are getting.

Grade or reject

Every fruit is graded on our packing table by weight, flesh thickness and husk integrity. Roughly one durian in four makes Grade AA. The rest does not get quietly sold as AA — it does not get sold here.

Cold chain, always

Insulated cartons, pre-frozen coolant sized to the transit time, and produce dispatch on weekdays only so nothing waits out a weekend in a depot. We lose Saturday orders over this. Fine.

Replace, don't argue

If it arrives wrong, send a photo within 24 hours and we replace or refund it. No return shipping, no inspection process, no debate about whether it is really that bad.

What happens between the orchard and your door

  1. 04:30Collection
Fruit is cut at the orchard and driven straight to our Bangkok facility. It never sees a wholesale market.
  2. 07:00Grading
Weighed, tapped, inspected. Grade AA is separated; anything below spec is sold on at cost to staff and neighbours rather than upgraded on a label.
  3. 09:00Order assembly
Boxes are built against the actual orders in the queue. Nothing is pre-packed and left waiting.
  4. 11:00Cold pack & seal
Odour liners, moulded trays, pre-frozen coolant sized to each destination province.
  5. 13:00Handover
Couriers collect. Tracking numbers go out as parcels are scanned.
  6. 14:00Cut-off
The queue closes. Anything after this goes on tomorrow's run rather than being rushed badly today.

Being straight with you

What we are not

  • We are not the cheapest. Direct sourcing and cold chain cost money and we pass that on.
  • We are not a supermarket. The range is four things, deliberately, and durian is seasonal.
  • We do not ship outside Thailand yet, and we will not pretend otherwise to take your order.
  • We do not ship produce on weekends, even when you would like us to.

Have a look at what is in season

Four things, done properly. Same-day across greater Bangkok, cold-chain everywhere else in Thailand.
